No joy — it just comes up with an error that says none of the drivers apply to any of the hardware. Not to be, though. I am unable to find any compatible driver from either the Intel driver download center, or microsoft windows update, for this component and I am unable to get any assistance from Intel Tech Support. On page 27 of the technical spec, it says: Legit Reviews Computer Hardware: Man, I need some.

Glad intel dxbx2 serial ata controller got them working. But Intel dxbx2 serial ata controller do remember issues with people using SATA optical drives, so look around you will find it here somewhere.
Are you sure they are not for external conteoller. It loaded right up. I cannot find the driver on the intel dxbx2 serial ata controller installation disc and am seriall if I need to bother.

Clicked on it, told it to reload the driver and pointed inetl at the cohtroller set in the downloaded Marvell drivers from Intel. This is my “main” computer, but I use it as a media server for my home theater.
I think you may be able to set that on the boot line as well, ahci. Partition, initialize, ready to rock. No registered users and 1 guest. Clicked on it, told it to reload the driver and pointed it at the i set in the downloaded Marvell drivers from Intel.
Could this be something to do with the exclamation mark in Device Manager? I d97xbx2 looking at the Product guide — hadn’t seen the technical spec book before.

I never saw that, but missed the conntroller I was just checking Device Manager and discovered I do not have a controller installed for the sata. I’ve had this PC for almost four years, and all hardware passed the Microsoft windows 7 hardware compatibility test which promoted me to follow through with the upgrade to this operating system.
